I am ready to drill my holes for my bean animal overflow. I am going to place my overflow in the middle/back of my tank. How far from the rim should I drill the holes and how far apart from each other should they be?

I know I've seen a thread on this but can't seem to find it.

My tank is a 40 gallon breeder and the bulkheads are 1".

I thought I remember reading you want to be at a minimum, the diamater of the hole you drilling away from the rim or edge of another hole. (meaning 2" hole, at least 2" from the rim and at least 2" from your other hole(s))
