When I started out I had a few rocks of nice purple/blue/red shrooms and also some hairy mushrooms, must be what you mean by "fuzzy". There are also ricordea mushrooms that look like bubble shrooms, they are a bit harder IMO.

Other than the ricordea, shrooms are inexpensive and do well under different lighting, you can keep them ok under low lighting and they also do well under intense lighting also with good placement.

Here's some pics of my old hairy mushroom rock and my current multi-colored striped ones:

I decided to start a Ricordia garden, so far there are only two, though. Got this new one on Saturday. One word of advice that I heeded when I started a reef was to keep mushrooms, GSP and Xenia contained. They are nice to start out with, but if you don't want them later they can be very hard to remove. I like the vibrant colored Ric's and the fact that they spread slowly.

That second picture is really nice, MoJoe!

Thanks! Very nice rics, I've always wanted to get some just have a hard time finding them locally. Great color on yours! In your opinion are they tougher to keep than basic shrooms?

I've never had a problem with the orange one, but it has not grown much or split. Since I decided to start a garden, I'm trying to find a good spot for them. ;D
