Just looking for opions for a powerhead i should consider for my 29 gal biocube. It looks like i have a couple dead spots where the color on my rock is disapearing. I know it will come back once i get more flow in the tank so the debris cant settle on it. What are the good ones and the ones i should stay away from? And where should i place it?

Korallia 1 would be perfect in a biocube29. got a korallia 1 and a korallia nano in a RSM

id go with a couple koralia nano's and maybe a koralia 1 or 2. its better to have more small powerheads moving water in a chaotic motion than one large powerhead just blasting one area which will cause the water to start moving in a defined stream.

Id go with 2 Koralia 1's. Where you set them really depends on too many factors to tell (the arrangement of your rock/decorations, where exactly the dead spots are, etc), it will be something you will have to play with. General rule of thumb for water flow is you want AT LEAST 20X turnover rate, wich means for your 29 you want a total flow of 580GPH, and thats kind of a bare minimum. 2 Koralia 1's would put you at 800gph, which would be good. I paid like $38 bucks for a brand new pair of 1's, so its a cheap upgrade that will make your tank inhabitants a lot happier;D

You could, as That Guy stated, add more smaller powerheads. A nano in the back faced forward would create more waves, and it's only adding 240GPH.
