Best Refractometer?

Not looking to spend $200 on a Hana digital Refractometer. Whats the next best thing for under a $100?

 

I have the D-D and it is nice. Very narrow range (1.020 - 1.030) designed for Marine aquaria so it is very easy to read.

 

I have been using a Sybon for about 9 years now and it has been extremely reliable.

 

Marinedepot has one with awesome reviews for like 50

 

I should have got one of these, it would be so much easier to read!

 

After using a cheapy one ($49) that I had to constantly calibrate, I got a VeeGee brand for $115 and it is FAR superior to the cheap ones! I believe the VeeGee is the same as the Sybon, just different names??
This one is designed for SG measurements, not for beer, antifreeze, sewer treatment etc

Another one of those things I wish I would have bought quality from the beginning....

I got one from brs an atp i think for 45, I check it every couple of times to make sure it doesn't need recalibrated, it doesn't. I would totally buy it again.

Why not spend $110 and get a unit made in the same factory as the hanna? I own the milwaukee below and I love it. I took it to the LFS once and had them compare the test results to the manual PITA refractors they use. Spot on. I purchase calibration fluid separately.
