i set my tank up using crystal sea marine mix, fininshed the bag, searched for a store that carried it and couldnt. since i have switched to kent salt. is kent a decent salt? when i asked the guy at the lfs about crystal sea he looked surprised, he said it was a good salt. the bag has like 20 languages on it. any thoughts? oh check out a few pics of my tank, and let me know what you think. thanks

You will find as many different opinions on salt as there are people. I like Reef Crystals.

I'd have to say there is about 20 threads on 'what is the best salt' on 3reef.

It's tough to say what makes 'good' salt. In my opinion not having to buffer my freshly mixed salt to raise the CA and ALK and MG along with consistency makes a salt the best.
Kent, IO, RC all have large swings from bucket to bucket or is too dirty or required too many buffers.
I found Tropic Marine Pro had high levels of Phosphates.

So I've switch to Reefers Best Salt
