Thats why the test kits that I use that aren't Seachem (Sr and Mag) are LaMotte. Most hobbiest dont want to pay for them but I do. I like solid results. I think that LaMotte are probably the most accurate titration tests out there.

I would like to try the Deltec and Elos kits too.

I also like to have electronic tester. I cant wait until I get a Hanna Phos Photometer. Every Phos titration test out there is too inaccurate for sps keeping. Most have a error ration of +-.04. Totally useless for the sps keeper.

I use a Pinpoint for my pH and Calc. Those rule. I do you titration tests to confirm if one is reading off.

I took Jason's word on this and ordered a Elos ALK test kit because I thought by Salifert one was bad and it was. It was not that old either. These Elos test kits are the boom, my 5 yr old could do this test. As my kits get used up I will be switching to Elos too.
    Karma to you Jason!

I am going to switch to Elos and Tropic Marin, very unhappy with Salifert.

I agree on Salifert, or at least I did, but as stated before Salifert has been having some quality control problems and from what I hear they are not talking about it nor are they telling anyone.

Allot of on line suppliers are out of them and cannot give any idea as to when they will get them back in.

Also for some reason their forum has been removed from RC.

I was told by Premium Aquatics they also had problems on their Mag. regent.

I've been looking at several of those Hanna Photometers. The Ca/Mag, the Phos, and the nitrate. What do you know about the others? If like me you could only get 1 which would it be?

Hanna makes a Ca/Mg photometer? I know LaMotte's colorimeter can test Ca and Mg.
