So today finally after to much time waiting we got our next reef reactors and we had the BRS bio pellets already. The question is hooking them up. The Lfs we got them from said have the return line exit next to the skimmer intake???? Does this seem right? To me it would seem im about to skim out what im trying to add. We are putting these on 2 of our three tanks and I would like any advise I cen get from someone using this system. My 220 I will be adding 4 cups full rated for 200 gallons in hopes of no bio bloom. My nitrates are 25ppm as of 4 days ago before wc now should be slightly less but have not measured today. any imput on this setup would be appericated. The other will be on the 92 gallon and will be running 100 gallons 2 cups rated on smaller reactor also next reef but want to do this right. Thanks

You're trying to add enough Carbon to grow your bacterial population enough to use up available phosphates and nitrates. Then you want to skim those bacteria out. (In essence, you are exporting bacteria Vs exporting macroalgaes). Your fish store was correct...that's exactly where you want your output to be.

As always thanks for you imput inwall. I will put my return facing into the skimmer. He said you will skim out the bad but keep the good bacteria. I am just new to bio pellets. Thanks again. I will dump the return into the skimmer area to make it work the correct way.
