So im gonna pick up a bio pellet reactor from BRS this week. Right now im running a reciruculating skimmer due to having a corner tank its hard to find a sump for it with a footprint big enough to hold an in sump skimmer. So from what I read you want to dump the reactor close to the intake of the skimmer. But being as how I have a reciruculating skimmer Was gonna run a bigger pump to bounce those bio pellets and then run the line right to the skimmer. Does this sound like a good idea that way the water will have to pass through the skimmer so if there is any huge boost of nutrent it will just pull them out ASAP.

Also I have read a few places that GFO should not be running on the system when your using bio pellets but could not find too much info on it. How true is this>?

Right now I dont have too much green algae but I do seem to have a bit of nitrates fueling some red turf just a small amount but think its a nitrate problem but there eating them up so fast the test gives me a false 0. If you have and ideas for this setup of things please post them here. Would love to find some better info on it.

    Thanks

yea thats no lie. Figured id give it a shot been following the thread about carbon dosing but figured id give it a shot and see what happens maybe by then there will be a good answer to the hole best carbon dosing thread. I have been using vodka for some time but does not seem to take care of everything i need. Plus it can be kinda a pain so gonna switch to the bio pellets and see if that is easier
