Biocube 8 Retro Lighting?

Is there a way to pump more light into a Biocube8? I'm looking into taking my hood off and hanging an HQI pendant. I need help, please!

 

Yeah, you can always take the hood off and hang any pendant you find. I don't know about the Biocube 8, it may be too small, but this site offers lighting upgrade mods to the Biocubes that go inside the stock hood. Nanotuners.com - Nanotuners.com

 

Yeah, mine is too small for nanotuners. What pendant would you reccomend? I'd like a small-ish one.

 

I'm looking at either the 70w or the 150w, the 150w is a little expensive for my budget, but offers 18.75w/g, the 70w offers 8.75w/g and is much cheaper. This would offer me 4.75 more w/g than I currently have, which may be enough for more coral choices, and my anemone would be much happier. The thing is, it would be much cheaper to just let the anemone grow out of my tank, because I don't know if I'll even be keeping this for long. I just don't want it to be a COMPLETE waste of money, ya know? Anyways, I'm really indecisive about spending this much money (a 13 year-old's budget and thoughts on money is a little different.) Open to suggestions as always!

 

I'm also looking at this cheaper 150w, PFO 150 W  Metal Halide Mini Pendant (Medium Base), would 150w be too much for a tank this small?
