I was doing research about Biopellet, and found very interesting insight. I would like to see what you think? specially if you have been using biopellet.

From what I research, biopellet could actually suck up Nitrate too much and too fast. Hence, it will actually effect some of the corals since they need some nitrate.

Is it true? what's your experience with Biopellet?

    thank you

Man...that's somewhat risky. So basically you just have to test the water and adjust it accordingly?

When using BioPellets make sure to start slow and add more slowly until you reach your desired nutrient reduction rate. Every tank is different, the directions on the bag/bottle are purely guideline. It can take up to 4-6 weeks for the pellets to seed with bacteria and successfully pull out nutrients. Also make sure you have a powerful enough skimmer, this will be very important when using pellets.

Lastly, what pellets have you decided on? There are many out there on the market today, personally I picked EcoBak after reading "The official EcoBak pellet" forum on 3reef.
