Bird Lovers...

I saw a green cheek and sun conure for sale at a pet store last week. The green cheek was sweet, hilarious and relatively quiet and although the sun was also sweet and friendly, once it started squawking, I needed no further convincing that it was not a bird for me. It was so L-O-U-D!

wow, i missed this thread!! heres my little guy.. i introduced him in another thread some time back.. his name is "chewie" cuz thats all he does.. nibbles on my ears, eats my boogies (well i dont feed him them, he likes going up in there and nibbling around - prolly tastes nice-n-salty), chews my eyebrows, cleans my head.. hes a cinnamon green cheek conure and is absolutley the most lovie, quiet bird i have ever had.. he barely makes a sound.. i was looking for a quiet bird and this ones it.. he falls asleep under my armpit and shoves his whole body under there, like suffocation.. i lift my arm up and hes dead asleep, neck cranked sideways, one foot clutching his head.. i saw him in the LFS and he was laying on his back, playing with his own feet.. i fell in love.. hes the best little friend ive ever had.. if you want a quiet loving bird get a cinnamon green cheek.. except hes TOO loving and trying to be my mate, so im having to throttle back a bit.. hes trying to regurgitate food into my mouth - nasty but cute just the same.. he flys off his cage to my shoulder when i walk in the door.. really funny.. "choo choo !!!".. a must have pet if youre into super quiet and loving birds..

 

Chewie sounds like a great bird! I would love to have a conure but my fiancee would strangle me

 

Heck with the fiancee! Get rid of him. Get a conure. ;D

 

But the conure can't do any work around the house!!!

 

Cheaper to feed, no question about loving always, easier to clean up after. ;D

 

But can it run a table saw Omar?
