hope so. thanks it looks like they are part of the scale...but they move to fast for me to focus on it...the dots are small...im also wondering if its cause the male is now turning into a female and the juvenile is now turning into a male...???

Is your clownfish rubbing against/nesting in a coral (such as a frogspawn) or something?

no i dont have any corals in my tank. not yet anyway. they made a nest in the corner of the tank. pushed all the sand up to make what looks like a sand nest though

In that case, make sure that your fish doesn't have black ich. Sometimes clownfish will get black spots when they initially start nesting in corals (which sting them and leave little "scars" which will eventually go away). Since you don't have any corals in your tank, this doesn't seem to be the case.

thanks for that. the spots are a little bigger then a grain of sand and they stay in the same place all the time. (dont move around like the article states) some spots are quite large thats how i noticed this at first. however when i get home i will look again

will a uv light help with killing this if it is black ich?

I'm not a huge believer in UV. Unless you get the flow rates just right in a UV, it's only going to kill a few of the parasites and won't solve a parasitic infection problem. And the bulbs need to be replaced pretty often and are expensive.
