    Don't quote me on this but I have heard that corals grow best in the 6500k to 10000k range. I would suggest you look at others tanks and ask what they are running to find out what you prefer. As long as you have the light output I personally would base your decision on aesthetics. I like a mix of the 2, actinics are too blue but 10000k just seems to wash stuff out.

    BTW I use 6700K PC with NO actinics. So far ok. ;)
