Blenny on the attack

I have a bicolour blenny. He's full of character and seems to think he owns the tank! Every rock is his.
I think he's awesome.

Lately when I put my hand in the tank he has chosen to nip my arm. It doesn't hurt but he sure has spooked me twice now. Anyone ever experience this?

I experienced this snorkeling but never in my own tank. I thought I would share my story.

I got bit by my little blenny when I transferred him to the tank - I like to use my hands to catch the fish instead of a net. He drew blood twice (once I had to take him out of the overflow). My clowns always attack my arm and hand when they go in the tank. I wish it didn't hurt

sounds like your blenny is a bit nicer

 

Lawnmower blennies can be nasty. In one of my tanks the only fish that set him straight was my 12" sohal tang. Lol

 

my desjardini sailfin tang will give me a warning slap with the tail if I keep my hands in the tank for any length of time.

 

I think its hilarious. Such a small guy with so much personality...reminds me of small dog syndrome

He has never drawn blood, thank goodness
