Ok, he's had some wierd growth on his eyes a few days and I finally realized he's blind. I stopped at my LFS tonight after work, picked up the medication they suggested and came hopme. As I was about to move him to my hospital tank, I realized one of the eyes is totally gone and the other is on its way out. This all happened in a matter of 12 hours.

Now my dilemna, im pretty sure the medication wont do anything now. Should I still move him to my hospital tank. He wont eat anything even when I use my feeding stick. Any ideas?

how is your parameters? Is your ammonia high? I am going to bet that it is high and that is what is causing the eye problem. Any other fish

I personally would not move him at this point as it is just extra stress on him. Add some garlic to your food on the feeding stick...as he can not see maybe he can smell it?

Why would you assume the ammonia is high? Its at zero as it has been since I finished cycling the tank. All other parameters are perfectly stable. All other fish are doing great.

cause ammonia levels that are high can cause burns on the eyes.
try the garlic on the krill and see if you can get him to eat

Had to take him out last night as his eyes were totally gone and coral beauty started to pick at them. Hes in quarantine right now. Havent tried garlic yet but I doubt he'll want to eat anything.

If he is completely blind and has no eyes, it will not survive. Sorry if this sounds cruel, but I would euthanize. It's the best thing you could do for it at this point.

How long have you had him? can you take him back to your LFS and see if they will refund/replace him?
What other fish/inverts/corals do you have in the tank?

I don't know what kind of LFSs you have in YOUR neck of the woods, but all of mine (there's like 6 I could rattle off) would point and laugh. A fish with no eyes?

And I agree with the euthanization comment. Sorry but this fish is done for. :-/

Had him a few months actually and took me a while to get him with all types of delays from the store. In short time he became my favorite fish and I looked forward to feeding him. Hes in my hospital tank right now and just sits at the bottom of the tank. How do I euthanize a fish?
