I recently set up a 120 gallon tank and was looking at a Blue Caribbean Tang to add to the tank. Everywhere I have seen online says the fish is peaceful but my uncle actually had one in his tank and it killed three of his fish. Anyone have any experience with these?

Would this fish be even suitable for a 120 gallon (48x24x24)?

The tank is probably a little small and I think I have read that they can be quite aggressive.

He has his own business so he moved it out of his personal tank to his tanks for retail, and currently it is housed with two clowns, a midas blenny, a gramma, and a wrasse and is not messing with them so it seems that it only goes after things that it sees as a threat I assume

That is quite common among fish. It may change its mind later and become Cujo. Any fish can.

A Blue Carri. Tang would fit nicely in the tank for a good chunk of its life. If you get it smaller that is vs larger. Few years or so.

Anyways without knowing the fish the tang killed and the order in its hard to say.

The Acanthurus group of Tangs dont take well to new fish. So I would suggest adding if you chose this fish last. unless your are adding another tang that is more agressive. Unless you add them both at the last shot.

If I am remembering correctly it killed a sweetlips, and i cannot remember the other. The fish right now is only a couple of inches, but it is completely blue as opposed to the yellow juvenile color.

Agreed my purple is 1/2 the size of my achillies who rules the tank but the purple constantly challenges the bigger tang

Yeah, I think I may pass on them. The last thing I want is a tank with a bunch of scared fish haha.
