My lfs was having a sale yesterday and I picked up a blue daisy frag. When I got home I noticed that there were a couple hitchhikers that came with it. Any idea as to what they are?

The item that you have circled is an aipstasia anemone. I would recommend you get rid of it as they sting corals and can grow to an out of control problem very quickly. They are considered a pest.

DO NOT pull it off though- that will only cause it to spread as it will release "babies". I recommend either Aipstasia X or buy a peppermint shrimp. You can also inject them with lemon juice, but I haven't tried it personally

I hear that lemon juice is a great way to get rid of them.

Should I pull the frag out put it in a bucket and inject with lemon juice? I would assume that the lemon juice will not affect the blue daisys? Would a peppermint shrimp get along with two cleaner shrimps, as I already have those in my tank?

Lemon juice will affect the daisies if you get it on it. You need to literally inject it into the aiptasia.

Thinking of going the peppermint shrimp route. Don't want to risk taking out the daisys. Would it be a good tankmate with two cleaner shrimp?

Could be battles but then again there may not be. Aiptasia-x works well too. Still need to be careful when applying it though.

Cut your tanks flow and put a little blob of kalk paste on it. Works every time :)

Picked up two peppermint shrimp and aiptasia is now gone. Thought I lost one of my shrimp after one day, but turned out it was molting. Both are alive and well and now my tank is aiptasia free......for now.
