Wow. I guess I wasn't here for a while. The whole site changed.. looks pretty good. I also could not sign in? So I had to sign in again.. I consider myself experienced reefer having reef tank for over 8 years but I never had Trigger Fish. I bought Blue Jaw Trigger and he is eating from day one :) Frozen Mysis and Rod's Food. I know they like specific meaty food. What is the best food for them and where can I buy? Thanks for any suggestions.

I had the same problem; email Matt at 3reefer@gmail.com.

Triggers will do best on meaty foods like you said. As per how you're doing it now, you NEED to introduce a hard shelled food to help wear down teeth. Raw shrimp in shell works, as does oyster in a shell. Some get theirs to eat live fish too (if doing it this way, make sure not to use freshwater fish like rosy reds or goldfish). Squid is also do able. It just comes down to preference, but the more varied the diet, the better.

Also; I believe the more common name for blue jaw is blue throat trigger, absolutely beautiful fish, I would love to see a video or at least pics :)

From what I understand, yes. Raw, unpeeled shrimp from the frozen seafood section. Make sure it says unpeeled, some brands call it "EZ-peel"
