Blue Mushroom

I have recently added a blue mushroom to my tank. It is doing well. The only thing is, it fell from the spot I put it & landed on top of a snail. Before I realized it, they were firmly anchored together. Now I have a healthy blue mushroom moving about my tank.

Should I just leave it? Should I sacrifice the snail & find a place where I can anchor the both of them ?

What is your opinion ?

 

The mushroom will probably close up with the constant movement in and out of light, you may want to try and pry it off.

 

Well for starters we need of pic of this, sounds pretty hilarious. Second, I would let it go for now. There is someone else on here that has a zoa covered snail. Once the shroom gets big enough to frag, you can take it off that way.

 

if the shroom is not happy, it will come loose and detach on its own . . . thats really odd that your mushroom magically attached it self to a snail. IME, loose mushrooms usually take at least a few days to get a hold of something.

Sorry, I can't send a pic. I don't know what happened during the night, but when I woke, the mushroom was lying on the bottom. I anchored it. Now, hopefully, it will grow.

What does it mean when you say a coral defrags ?

 

The blue mushroom has grown more in one day than is has since I bought it. I moved it closer to the surface. It is not blue yet though. Also, my anenome is getting quite close. I'll have to watch that.
