I have a stubborn puffer I need some advice/help with. He only eats PE mysis and believe it or not, nori sheets. He is very happy and healthy but my problem is his teeth are getting very large. He does not seem to grind them down on anything. I have tried feeding him crab and other softer shell things to help grind his teeth down but he is not interested. I also have tried putting some shrimp and other snails in the tank in hopes he would go after live things but he didnt go for that either. I have had him almost a year now so not concerned about him not eating and staying health but my concern is his teeth are going to get so big he wont be able to eat the mysis anymore. I have heard some people have caught the puffer, sedated it and just clipped the teeth with a nail clipper but that scares me. Any advice on what I can do??

    Thanks

Why not rig something out of rock. Get a few pieces of dry rock and configure them so that you can stuff his food inside. Maybe a sheet of nor placed between 2 flat rock pieces which that he needs to work at and pick apart to get to. I think if you were to tie them with string and leave just enough sticking out around the edges he might pick and pick to get to the food. All the while grinding his teeth. I see this looking like the lettuce hanging off a hamburger.
