Unless you're VERY-AND I MEAN VERY-EXPERIENCED, don't get the fish AT ALL. You don't want that thing to die just like that; all that money will just go to waste. WYSIWYG is just a scam in my opinion; ALL FISH ARE $100 AND MORE!!!!

DD is the best place to buy fish, idk what you are complaining about. My friend bought a $4000 gem tang, I don't see a problem with it.

didnt mean to start anything. just saying for those that have been looking into one and ARE experienced enough its there, and IMO DD is great. lots of exotic fish, while overpriced, if you really want it, you'll pay. and there are lots of fish under 100$

Take a tour and get in check. The reasoning why half the fish are a bit overpriced is not the fact they are WYSIWYG. But the fact they are pampered fish and groomed for aquarium life. Fed and fattened up. They also are treated for internal parasites. Which not all sites do.

Along with that running the facility is quite an expense. I never realized how much salt they go through in 4 days... and a Pallet is a pretty number when its 200g Reef Crystal Salt Boxes.

I would like to know why you think WYSIWYG is a scam? You get what you see. And if they mistakenly send you the wrong one, you get your money back after photo proof. Only once I had them send me the wrong item In the billion orders I have received from them.

Thousand dollar wrasse....LMAO! Not unless money was not an issue at all.

    RedGambit,

I don't think they use RC for fish. Maybe IO?

The whole Facility is hooked up to the same RO unit and Mixer. And 3 Separate vats which then go to the 3 areas of the building.

Personally, I dont like to buy unless it is a WYSIWYG. Its much better to pay a little bit more for quality care than cheaper for something that was just unpacked from the wholesaler and still has all the parasites and diseases and doesnt eat prepared food yet... yeah, IMO it is actually a great deal.

btw, this fish is highly sought after after and if you have ever seen one in person you would understand why. They have colors that are unbelievable.

I mean he does live there and has taken multiple tours and speaks with Kevin (the head guy there) on a regular basis.
It would make sense to just use RC because of the corals they hold. it would be such a PITA and stressful to the fish/corals to have to compensate for lower levels from IO when adding and subtracting that much water a day

Hey sorry to pull this thread a bit off track, but REDGAMBIT, what size tank do you have that beautiful Achilles in? I would love to get one some day, but am stocked to the brim at the current time.
