Great build thread and awesome looking tank. I can't believe I hadn't seen this before but when I saw your FTS in the what size is your tank thread, I immediately had to track down the whole build thread. If you are ever going to fly into RIC, shoot me a PM. I live pretty close to the airport and I'll try to get you out to see the tank.

you inspired this bluewater... If your interested ill pm my progress on it. If you see the big arc, under that is going to be a "reef mountain" or "volcano" if you will, its going to be pretty sweet. And i didnt glue that arch in place yet so i can still move around the 45º & 90º's to make it look however i would like. thanks so much man!

This might look small but its going in a 22 gallon so its pretty big actually.

EDIT: and i have a question for ya bluewater. I want to take my big rocks and drill a 3/4 hole (masonry bit) through them so i can slide them right on instead of zip ties because i think that would look silly with a whole bunch of little rocks surrounding a pvc rod. Do you think this will be an easy task? from my understanding this is what you did? I have marco rock

Actually I did zip tie them. You could drill a hole for some of the big rocks but you'll probably still have to zip tie some small ones to fill the gaps. If you do it right it will look natural. Around the skinny part of my arch I should have a few more small rocks to make it look more natural just haven't got around to it. Another option that is popular is to get some acrylic rods, drill holes and slide the rock over that.
I like the way your PVC is looking.. Can't wait to see some rocks on it. You should do a thread on it so we all can see how it develops. :)

Well sadly this tank is being sold. I loved it but it's too big for my new house. I may get a rimless starphire this year. It's killing me not having a real tank. I have a lot of my corals in a temporary tank. Most are not looking so great.
