How many royal blues compared to blues should I put in my fixture of 16 LEDs? Right now I'm thinking of putting 8 cool whites, 4 royal blues and 4 blues, but I'm thinking maybe 6 rb 2 blues, or maybe all royal blues. Also, what are neutral white LEDs, and are they any good?

Well I run 25 rb with 8 cool white and 7 neutral white. This gives a 12- 14k look I'd say. Waiting for my 420nm uvs to come in. I didn't really like the standard blue LEDs. I liked royal blue better so I went with just them. Hope this may help you.

Neutral white is a different color temp 3500-5000k. I find it mixed with the cool white gave a nicer blend of white light.

You also need to consider brand and binning of the LEDs. Cree RB aren't THAT much different from the standard blues, so you could get away with using all RB and no blue. The Rebel emitters I use are much "purpler" and I'm running them 50/50 with standard blue.

As for whites, I have my neutral whites turned down pretty far compared to the blues to get the look I want. (I have even numbers of RB, B and NW.)

Royal Blue and Cool White at a 1 to 1 ratio will give you approx 14k of color temp

Yeah, they sell upper end Cree LEDS. Good stuff. I've only heard good things about the service, too. If you want a different mix of colors than their standard kits, they will customize the mix..

I ordered mine through them as well.

Their service is absolutely unparalelled. I have nothing but good things to say. They took the time to explain everything to me. Ratio's, controllers, dimmable drivers etc.

It has been a phenomenal experience working with them!
