Thats probably Caulerpa sertularioides that has gone asexual and your lighting is turning it blue. Remove it.

It could be bryopsis, algae. Not real sure. It kind of looks like it. If it is carfully so as not to break off any pieces get it out. If this is the only sprout. Was it green at the beginning. The tips of bryopsis look like feathers and are bluish in color.

Im going to second for Bryopsis. and removal is not too hard, I would use a dentist tool if you have. cut flow off so you don't spread and debris if you can.

Just start a syphon with a hose and hold it over it and pull it off. It will probaly come back. It is a mess once it takes hold. I still have it in my tank but am starting to win. I hope.

hum im not sure about what people have said to you about the possible brynosis (or what however you spell it!) ITs very bad! i dont think its just a case off just cypon it out as you pull on it as it will spead and once you have done this its a reefer total night mare! ( well thats what i have read & been told about mine) Is very hard to rid your tank off it, many people have to restart there whole tank because off this algea. if its the only rock with it on you should take it out and bin it ( as long as it has no other life on it!) it worth that just to get rid off it. Also you should not just pull it out in your tank as it will rlease spours into your tank & spread like mad. I think if im not mistaken it can kill your corals & so on as the fern bits sting! there are not definate eaters off this type off algea & no straight foward ways to get rid off it.
Not meaning to worry you but if you read my Thread you will see what others have told me about it & if you google it you will see what i mean.
Sorry to be a downer but i just hope its not what you have got!
    Thanks K:confused:
