    Hello everyone,
I just brought home and set up a 28G Oceanic Nano Cube and have spent the day setting it up. I am brand new to salt water aquariums.
I live in Canada and hope to make this a hobby I can grow with.
I am starting my tank with bought salt water, and cured live rock and a sand base of Arogonite.
The Nano Cube uses bio balls in the filtration system. I have just set it up and unfortunately have alot of the sand dust floating around. However the pump seems to be putting alot of air into the tank and I was wondering if that is just from the air traped in the bio balls?
Once the water clears I will try and post some pictures.
Thanks and I am excited to be part of this community.
    Ed

The dust I think is normal.. Happens to everyone as soon as water is added. It should clear up in a few days. Now the main part is the cycle. You should start by adding a big raw shrimp and let it in there for 2-3 weeks.Check your water parameters every now and then... When you see 0 ammonia 0 nitrates and nitrites. Your good to go and add fish.
Two things you should learn how to do in this hobby is patience... And the most important thing is......... DO NOT FORGUET THIS ONE.... ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS. POST PICS PIC PICS! or it didn't happen!

I am from Kitchener, but I used to live in Barrie. Very familiar with Holand Landing.
