two weeks ago i had my light almost burn down my house [14k 150w MH] i put a small PC 10k and 2 39 t5 actinics on till i got my new light 5 days later. during this waiting period i had a jump in NO3 [one of my other brains was dying off, he didnt make it and got pulled from the tank] now the new light that i put on there [which has been running for week tek t5 4x39w 2 10k and 2 actinc] and my brain has not fully come out since.

would that fact that i moved from 14k daylight to 10k daylight cause him to not come out?
also last nite i found what looked like my cowire took a bite of my third brain. any ideas? i did water change sun nite [4 gal] havent tested my NO3 in that time frame but i will in couple of hour when i get off work.

I would target feed him some meaty foods to help it regain it's strength

Do you target feed the brain already? Ours was slightly shrinking, and someone on 3reef reccomended target feeding. It really helps. As for the light, I dont think that moving from 14k daylight to 10k daylight would make that mush of a difference. I think its probably just in shock from all the changes. Testing the water so you know exactly where you are is always a good idea when the tank is getting funky. Since you had the other brain die off, do a water change. At least you can minimize a spike in the tank that way.

found out that my the inorganic PO4 [something i am told that you cant test for] were super high from killing my off the GHA. i also have feeling thats why my NO3 were high too.

as for feeding i would feed him twice a week, when he came out. but i transplanted the little guy into another tank till i can rid my self of the PO4.
