So I finnaly got my clownfish to eat!!! :) He passed up on flakes and a gel form of brine shrimp. I borrowed frozen brine shrimp from a friend and my clown eats it up good! However, I was told brine shrimp is not healthy??? Is this true because I feed my clown 2 times a day, and he eats about 6 brine shrimp each time. I also heard about mysis shrimp. Is that pretty much the same thing? My friend feeds his smaller percula clown brine shrimp every day and nothing else. His fish is fat and very healthy. What do you guys think?

Brine shrimp by itself is nutritionally wanting (like eating potato chips). However, if you have frozen brine and it is gut-loaded (they feed the shrimp something nutritious just before freezing it) and fortified, it should be sufficient.

Mysis should work too, it is more nutritious than brine. Give it a try for some variety.

i would definitely go for variety. i wouldn't be comfortable with feeding my fish brine alone.

it will come around. For two years mine wouldnt ever touch seaweed on the clip. Now i cant even get.it in the tank without her tearing of a piece as i try to stick.it.to.the glass. Have no idea why her taste changed.
