i found a pinkish colored worm like thing emerging from an empty hermit shell. the worm was round and had "bristles" all around it. i was able to capture the worm on video and will post it as soon as i figure out a way. i also removed the shell with the worm in it from the tank. i dont want to kill the "worm" if its not dangerous to my tank. is there a way to post the video to youtube and then a link here?

I agree they do help keep the tank cleaner. I didn't have any that I know of before buying some more live rock. Now, I see them all the time at night or when I move a rock.

    vid worked but is sideways..

that is a bristle worm... depending on your tank size i wouldnt worry about it... i saw yesterday in my tank one that was about 7.5", my triggers found a nice treat very fast...

you should be able to see more at night, with a flashlight or if you have moonlights about an hour after the lights go out...

my moonlights make them glow a little bit and its pretty cool watching them do work on the barebottom
