Hi I just scored a frag of purple death, and nuclear green zoas. On the plugs however there are a few starfish brittlestar looking things. They are green/black/brown in color.

Are these reef safe? Or will they grow and noms my polyps?

    Thanks! I <3 this place.

I have the same looking stars in my tank except they are white not black. They seem to stay small and don't get much bigger than the one in your picture.

The strange thing about it is over the past year I have watched their population grow and shrink and grow and shrink....over and over. They are fun to watch and haven't harmed anything in my reef tank.

Keeping a star fish is the reason I bought a saltwater setup. I love them!
