    i am home visiting my parents form college/ doing some tank maintenance for them. their tank has a slight brown hue to the water. i adjusted their skimmer to skim more efficiently but have to leave tonight so i wont know if it is effective...

    any advice on clearing this up?

    ill toss a small HOB in the sump... i am using a fine sponge/sand filter in the sump now
