yes fill that canister and keep on buying more carbon... lol ;D seriously, I'm guessing you miss read it.... it probably said you COULD fill the canister to the top. meaning how could be used if needed. how long have you been doing that? i have read issues with fish and to much carbon use

I've been using it a couple months to 3 months. I'm due to change out the carbon last week so when I get to it this week I will add way less.

i have been on BRS site so many times and purchased from them often and never seen that calculator ... very nice!
love how fast BRS is at getting things out to you. 2-3 days its normally at my door. and none of this getting an email and saying its out of stock after they take your money... they don't let you order it if an items out of stock. very good business practice if you ask me.

my BRS Carbon and GFO arrived yesterday, i opened the box and immediately cleaned the reactor and put some right into it. today my water is sooooo clear it looks like the fish are swimming in air.
    so far I'm really pleased

yes i just started the EcoBak back up a week ago. i had removed it when i had a skimmer issue months ago and never turned it back on. actually had it running in water change water for a while to keep it going. but finally left it dry out. so now i just started that back up. in the mean time my phosphates went pretty high. so i set that TLF reactor up with carbon and gfo . the bio pellets are now in a nano CPR reactor. everything is looking really good today, corals are fully inflated. have to check my phosphates and see where they are at today. they were at 0.50 dropped to 0.21 dropped again to 0.16 dropped again to 0.11 and now i need to test again and see where I'm at.

I spoke to **** Boyd the creator of chemi pure at that fish place earlier this year and it can be ran in a reactor without the bag. He recommended the two little fishes reactor I have used it several times just keep the flow low. I have also used the rox carbon from BRS and its great as well.

the stuff is so crammed in my sump area...lol its not a pretty picture. ;D

i have no clue on how they work. they are pretty large if you have the room

the rox 8 is the carbon i purchased it seems to be working out well. i hoping the bio pellets will kick in and i can cut the gfo out. but if not its not that big of a deal.
the nano CPR reactor is really very nice its so compact, thats what the bio pellets are in.
