    They say on the sheet they give you with the reactor that you should dial it back because of those problems I mentioned; it wasn't my idea to dial it back lol. They do include the ball valve when you buy a reactor, so I'm guessing they believe it should be done on every install.

    From my experience I can only recommend a reactor. Helps a lot !

    yeah like you said before, if its tumbling too much it'll throw GFO particles everywhere in the tank and cause other issues. if its not tumbling enough it'll turn into a solid block of GFO rendering it useless.

    i read the same when researching reactors - you NEED a valve to regulate it.
