I for the life of me can't get the BRS RODI Autoshut off to NOT leak out of the hose that screws into the bulkhead. It flows fine until I manually make the float go up. The pressure makes it leak everytime.

Anyone have some pointers on how to to get this watertight?

    Thanks!

Remove the 1/4" tubing from the leaking fitting. Re cut the end using a fresh razor blade so you get a straight cut and do not squash or egg shape the tubing then re insert it firmly in the fitting. That should do the trick if the fitting is good.

The problem is that this isn't a standard push to connect fitting.

It's a nut that slides over the hose, then screws into the bulkhead. As far as I can tell, the hose end doesn't actually connect to anything. It appears that the leak is occuring between the hose and the nut (as opposed to leaking between the nut and the connection to the bulkhead)

Its a compression fitting then and should have a ferrule or compression ring inside that slips over the tubing and is then compressed by the nut as you tighten it.
Some others have a nipple or insert that the tubing stretches over and the nut tightens it against the tubing.

Here are some common instructions that show the ferrule and a gripper ring which you may not have:
