I think something is very wrong with my BTA , we have had it a couple of weeks and everything seemed fine , last night it looked a little thin, and then I just checked on it on my lunch break and wow does it look awful. here are some pics
First pic is 2 days ago...it was eating so pulling back into itself but tentacle were full and healthy looking

The foot is still firmly attached and it has never moved after settleing in the day we brought it home,
Did water test last nite everything normal, and a waterchange is scheduled for tomorrow.

    Any ideas?

how old is your tank. what kind of lighting do you have on it. Nems need a stable tank with clean params. I know you said they are all good, but could you list your current params.they also need good lighting. these are a couple possibilities. I would also list your equipment as well.

Now Nems are known to look excellent one minute and deflated the next. It may not have a problem at all. I would watch it for a few days and see how it responds.

you anemone looks fine! they will inflate and deflate to take in new water and when expelling wastes. they might also not want to take any light in too and shrivel. i only worry about an anemone when the mouth is open and their guts start to come out, or if they get a rip in their foot. if its still atached to the rock then you need not worry...wait for it to fall off and look like its melting before you panic. I was the same way when i first started to keep nem's.

Sorry, my equipment list is in my sig. 4x54 T5 lights, remora skimmer and 2 K3 powerheads in a 55 Gal tank. Water tests ammoia, trites, trates, phosphates all 0, calcium over 400, ph 8.1 cant remember alk of the top of my head but was stable. Salintiy at1.023. tank has been up right at a year and stable with this params of about 8 months.

thanks for the reassurance billyboy , I know I may be panicing too soon, and had heard that the foot letting go is one of the first bad signs, but this is my first nem and ive heard too many stories of looseing one and nukeing the whole tank. when I looked today the tentacles actually appeared about the same size as my torch.
Ill chcek it again toight when I get home from work and monitor for a few days to see what happens
