    Im not sure where you are getting your information from, but your salinity was not too high... natural sea water is 1.026 or 35 ppt, and i would recommend that for an anemone, as they tend to like it "saltier". That being said having the salinity lower wont necessarily hurt it, depending on how fast you made that change. I would suggest not making any more changes to your tank and let this creature settle.
