So has anyone ever had this happen with a BTA before? After about two months in my tank, its tentacles began to elongate and turn from green to brown. The tips never "bubble" anymore. (See pics) It has been this way for over four months now. It never has moved from its original spot, and eats well, so I'm assuming its happy there and recieving enough light and flow. I'm not worried about it's health really, just wondering if it will ever "bubble" again, or if there's something more I should be doing for it. All my other corals seem to be thriving, water params are always stable, and I do 10% weekly water changes religiously. I feed it frozen krill a couple times a week, and it's never refused food before.
Just looking for anyone else's observations, experiences or advice.

Pic 1 is a VERY unhealthy anemone, I honestly wouldn't even of considered buying it. Consider yourself lucky! ;) Looks much healthier in pic 2.

I think the lighting and my camera skills in pic 1 make it appear unhealthy. It was never white or bleached looking since the day I got it. It used to be a nice shade of green, then slowly turned brown. I thought I was buying a Green Bubble Tip, but you'd never know it now. ANd now the tentacles have a "stringy" look to them. To me it doesn't look healthy now, even though I know it is.

if im honest - neither pic looks unhealthy to me. Anemones change all the time depending on the light and surroundings they receive. Pic 2 is juat the result of anemones reaction to your water chemistry and lighting.

    Do you feed your anemone?

The anemone in picture 2 reminds me of the scene in Spider man 3 where Spiderman tries to get the symbiotic suit off him in the bell tower, only to have the other guy (Venom?) become engulfed by it.
... Guess it just has that dark creepy look to it!
