I was looking at some external skimmers and someone pointed me to the Bubble Magus. This one really has my interest and would be a nice upgrade to my ASM G1. looks pretty solid and the slit pipe is nice.

Any users out there? if so whats your opinion?

I to have the BM 160 and love it. I can't get it to not skim like a beast. Its always pulling out pure black skimmate. The only problem I had with it was the inlet where the water flows into the skimmer broke when I was trying to put the hose on. I think I had the wrong size hose though.

Guys, I am looking at the BM160 for my 150. I know that this is a while from your last post, but I wanted to know if you are still happy with the BM160.

    Thanks, Kurt

We have a BM150, Internal, on a 120 with 40 Sump. It is two years old now and with a once every six months cleaning runs very well. I am totally happy with it. We bought ours from Nuocean. I see you are looking at the External, but I think it's the same pump. Hope this helps.
