Anybody with this skimmer may be able to help.

I'm going to run the BM NAC6 in a standard 10 gallon tank as a sump. Most sites I've been looking at people run them in around 10" of water. I'm only going to be able run mine in 6" or 7" since I need to leave enough room for what's left in the overflows during a power outage.

Does anybody know if this skimmer performs in this much water?
    Thanks,

I have the BM100 now and I do run it in 10" of water, but I had it in a sump for a while and only ran it in 7" and it worked fine. There is a little adjusting to do but it should work fine.

Great. Isn't the 100 and NAC6 the same thing with a different pump? And how do you like the 100? Also what size system are you running.
    Thanks, 4phish

Yeah it's basically the same skimmer, just a newer model. I love my BM100. I have the drain line connected to a sunny delight bottle and it pulls out a tone of crap.
