Bubbles???

    I agree, I don't think that's deep enough either, but I can't think of anything else it could be.

    How long have you had your skimmer off? Have you added to your bioload recently? How new is the tank? If you tested your water after noticing the bubbles, it still could be part of the nitrification process, and the ammonia could have already been consumed. Do you have anything to remove nitrates? If you have any, your macro algae could be soaking up excess nitrates quickly.

    I'm kinda stumped with this one if your bioload hasn't changed recently, or if your tank isn't fairly new.

    The skimmer has been off for about a week now. No new additions to the bioload and the tank is about a year and a half old. I have some chaeto that has been slowly growing, nothing like the explosive growth I hear about on here.

    Are you sure they are bubbles? Fish chasing them and catching them sounds like baby shrimp (brine or mysis) or pods. Are they popping when they reach the surface, or are they moving around?
