Yeah, you might be able to keep a mandy. There is some debate as to what the minimum tank size is or amount of live rock, but i think you would be ok. Just make sure you see tons. If not let the population grow some more. I think pretty much all corals will eat pods if they happen to get on a polyp. Many many creatures eat pods. Just make sure if you are going to get a mandy that you dont have any competition. Certain wrasses and damsels IME will eat just as much as a mandy.
