Would you recommend for the return pvc line i get a schedule 80 bulkhead that fits a 1/2" diameter pvc pipe or the schedule 40 bulkehead and have a 3/4" pvc pipe? Also would you get for the drain line a schedule 80 bulkhead that fits a 3/4" pipe or a schedule 40 bulkhead that fits a 1" pipe? My tank is drilled with a 1.75" hole for the drain and a 1.5" hole for the return.

sch. 40 will be more than sufficent. I would make sure to have the bigger drain and smaller return. It also depends on the size tank as to what you will need as far as flow. I dont see the need for sch 80 on an aquarium IMO

Right. There's no need for sch 80 with the low pressure that we have in our systems. Go with the bigger drain

1" drain with 3/4" return should be fine

def the 1" drain. Return depends on what size pump you want. Match the return bulkhead with the output pip size on the pump
