    on my 65 gallon i have a 1" drain, but somehow it takes a 1 1/4" hose on the underside. I have a 3/4" return. I use a mag 9.5 that has a 3/4" output

    Mag 9.5 has a 3/4" suction and discharge if im not mistaken

    Look at the head loss if its below the tank you wont get 950 GPM

    Right my overflow should be in the ball park of about 600gph hour so thats why im choosing the 9.5. Im going to have a tee on it and two ball valves so ill be able to dial it in as i need it.

    I use slip with a heavy duty wire tie. This is a tight fit, the Wire tie is for peace of mind
