    yup, it uses the excess CO2 and boosts the elements. i also place the effluent into the skimmer with the skimmer air line coming from fresh outside air with an air pump to re-oxygenate the water.

    True. I found it helps calibrate though.

    I run all my effluient into a hang on container with 2 air stnes in it that help blow off the CO2 before it enters the tank. This is after it goes through a second chamber also
