I would increase your Mg to 1350 to 1500. That will help with stability. Dosing can lead to some precipitation of calcium so make sure you add the two solutions at least an hour apart. Test alk and ca every 3 days and adjust your dosages until they stop changing on you.

FWIW I dose 30ppm ca daily and 2.33 meq/l of alk daily in my reef tank. I have 2 clams and 50 to 60 SPS coral, 25 LPS amd about 40 softies in a 75 gallon tank. My system's total volume is 112 gallons.

Thanks everyone - I love this forum and the people here :)

Ok so I will get myself some Mag and raise that first - Should I do WC first to help increase all elements?

a water change may help to balance things up better
a series of water changes regular weekly ones of 10% may even be enough to maintain your parameters if you use a quality salt mix

what is your current DKH? as assuming your test kits are reliable

    your mag is low
    your calc is low
    your DKH?

if they are all low or on the low side
additions to what you have now, using the right products for each aspect
to bring you where you need to be
followed by weekly water changes with or without additional dosing of the big 3
there after, may be best course of action IMO

Hey Steve I do 10% wc on a weekly basis right now - I am thinking of doing a 20% change tomorrow (letting the water mix for 24hrs)
I have to admit my DKH test has never worked right - I got it second hand - I know I know :)
I will be following your directions :)
