Calcium at 600!

    My calcium level is at 600. Water change to get it down?

    Your Alkalinity is too low (or you have a bad test kit). Measure the Alk if its low…yup, your CA is that high. Plus your salinity might be a little high as well (the higher the salinity the higher the concentration of calcium permissible).

    Now, if your Alk and salinity are ok – no worries. Do your water changes and normal maintenance and do not dose calcium.

    Dont have a alk test. Guess I better run to the store.

    Heres the results of the tests I do have. The reason Im testing is because my sweet lips isnt doing very well today.

    calc 600
    carbonate hardness 10
    posfate 2
    nitrite 5
    temp 89
    salinity 1.021

    I was wondering the same thing, temp 89? Are you getting any coral bleaching?

    So alkility is low, calc is high and ph is a bit high. what do you all recommend?
