    You can't assume the cal is a third of mag, but it should be a third of mag if it is correctly proportioned.

    Is the salt I am using ok,,,,it seems I have read that IO is not that great, but it is what I have been using since starting this back in Sept.

    You could get away with this with the same corals you have, as they are not high cal demanding. Get more accurate tests before dosing anything again.

    I would do that yes. Also as mentioned take a sample to LFS to verify your test kits.

    IO isn't great for corals, IO reef crystals are. They are two different salts, same company.

    ok that makes sense,,,Maybe before doing anything I should pick up some salifert test kits for the calc and alk just to see, or even better take another sample to lfs to see again what they get?

    I will take a sample to lfs asap to check to see of my test kits are off, then go from there. thanks for the help

    I would go to LFS, only so you don't waste money on test kits if you don't need too. If they get different results, then buy new kits.

    If you are using reef crystals you are good to go.
