hey, I know this is emergencies only, but I started the calibration and I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong and don't want to waste the PH Calibrating solution.

Im using the Neptune Systems PH Probe, it is struggling to settle, it just reads 2.5, I have left the rubber tip on the probe, do I calibrate the probe with the rubber cap on or off?

Thanks for any answers, much appreciated.

Thanks, it is only reading 2.5 in the 7.0 calibration fluid, what am I doing wrong?

When I put the probe in the tank, do I have the cap on or off? just wondering, thanks.

the rubber cap is just on for shipping and storage. because the probe needs to stay wet. so they put the rubber cap on. it needs to come off for use. remove it than calibrate. save the cap incase you ever want to store the probe.

oh one more thing while calibrating leave the probe set in the solution till the numbers stop moving , some times it takes about a minute. than click ok and calibrate the number 10 solution the same way. the numbers won't read exact while calibrating the 7 and 10 but will be close. so don't worry. also i test the probe after calibrating to see what reading i get. i put it in the 7 solution and see what reading i get. it should than read a correct reading of 7

Okay thanks, it doesn't give very good directions on the manual, I suppose it should have been obvious, It still doesn't seem to be calibrating, and on the base system the PH/ORP port is blinking green? Anyone know what I'm doing wrong.

    Thanks

i didn't notice what my light was doing while calibrating. did you see what i wrote about the reading not being exactly 7 or 10 when you calibrate?

Thanks, I just saw your last post, its like it isn't even reading the probe, it never even moves when I put it in the 7 or 10, it just reads 2.5. Really confusing. even when not calibrating the lights on the box flash green.

    Any ideas.

    Thanks

    Yeah

On the display module, it says settling .... 0250

And never changes, its sat in the bag now, its been in there for like 20 mins, no movement?

    Faulty probe?
