I've had a red dragon frag for a few months that had been doing really well on growth. At the earlier part of this week, I noticed it looked kind of bumpy, like it had warts and they're darker in color, but only towards the ends of the branch. Sounds weird, and I didn't get a picture of it... wish I had. Does this sound like anything that anyone is familiar with? This piece is starting to look pretty poor now when before it was doing great. If you guys have no idea I understand b/c I don't have a pic to show... Thx!

My params are KH 11 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0 Ammonia 0-.25 PH 8.3 Calcium 440 and last mag test (a week ago) 1350.

    Hi anb.

Are you sure you have a detectable ammonia level and no detectable nitrite and nitrates?

Wow you have a Red Dragon, dang.

While I have never had this blister or bubbling appearance in sps I have see threads on RC regarding it. One individual contributed to mag levels, others a viral or bacterial pathogen.

Sorry I can not be of more help. Member Dingo would be a good resource.

Good luck hope someone chimes in that knows.

I lied... I found one taken earlier this week. Up toward the top you can kinda see the darker knots...

What is your phosphate? And also Are you using rodi with zero TDS?
The picture is hard to tell but it looks like dark stringy growths? might be a type of cyano that is living on dead pieces of skeleton
