ok so i got a new Canon powershot a590 and I'm having serious issues getting any decent pics of the tank, I can't seem to find anyway to adjust the white balance as the tank's lights totally wash out all colors in the pics, if anyone has a canon powershot "a" series and has any tricks please feel free to share.

    thanks

looking at the specs for your camera, you have diff. shooting programs (same as mine, i have the sd750). one of these shotting programs is actually for taking aquarium pictures. i dont know if you have tried this yet and are still getting the same results or not but its worth mentioning. Also, i dont know if your using the flash or not, but flash will always wash out the colors. if your still having problems you can switch your camera to manual mode which will allow you to adjust the white balance manually. check out the manual, it should all be explained in there. Hopefully this is of some help to you...goodluck!

    Thanks!

There is an aquarium mode that works, all my fish are PO'd cause I turned the lights back on just cause I had to see if it works lol

Karma + for the lead on where to look
It's under SCN for scene then browsing left and right pulls up different ones, great thing is that wasn't anywhere in the manual that I could find aquarium was one of the selections

I'll start flooding pics up in the next couple of days now hehe

I just received a Black Nokia N93 from a friend. He gave it for around US$70 so is kinda cheap.
The weak point is that the N93 battery doesn't last more than a day. I can live with that.
The other point is that the camera pictures look blurred, out of focus.

I used to have one silver N93 and you know when you use the optical zoom, you can actually hear the little camera module doing those buzzing noises.
This one you cannot. no matter how you try, it doesnt do the buzzing or the optical zoom.

I just took it apart (i know a lot doing this) and the lens module were out of focus.
I just move it back and forth to take it back to its original place. Now I can take pictures without the blurred thing or take videos just fine.

But the optical zoom still isn't working.

Do you guys know how to fix it.

Look, I live in dominican republic, a country full of motorolas and Sony ericsson crappy cellphones. Nobody will ever attempt what I just did here (take the N93 apart), and not a single cellphone (you guys call them mobile) shop want to fix it for me.

I took it to a camera fixing shop but the guy face was so unsured that I didnt left my N93. Just don't want nobody practice with this piece of fine finnish technology.

let me know if one of you had same problem.
