Can cyano be green?

    i'm getting a new kind of algae forming on my glass, i think it's cyeano, i haven't scraped it off yet or anything, just wanting to make sure it's cyano and not another GHA bloom. What do you guys think

    Yes, there is a type of blue or green cyano. Do you have a picture?

    i'll take a look at the article

    i'll try to get a pic, this stuff is all over the front of the glass, i try to scrub it off but it's rather difficult

    looking at the pcitures it looks like it's actually a brown, i've already had a diatoms outbrake during my 1st month and it went away, i don't think this is it

    best pic i could get, this stuff is all over the glass, i really don't think i could have a second diatom bloom when i havent added any new equipment, so that's why i'm thinking a form of cyano and now possibly dino, that was mentioned above.

    I have the same stuuff but my is a little darker and also can not come of the glass. idk what it is either

    yea it's hard to get off, i hate the algae scrubber because for some reason it always scratches my tank, and i have a glass tank so don't know whats up with that, so i use a sonic scrubber and it doesn't come off. This stuff makes it very hard to take good pictures because when you zoom in you can see the stuff in the pics

    Do you have a CUC? The only thing I have found that gets rid of stuff that stuck on and cant be removed by scrubbing, scraping is the power of a snail.

    yea i have a CUC the ceriths are the ones that always work on the glass, and they only come out at night to clean the glass, i've had this stuff for a while and i've thought it's cyano but now im not so sure
